The drive-space question

Should You Reinstall?

The Reinstall Signal gives you a practical 0–100 answer to whether an update is worth your time and drive space.

The Reinstall Signal asks one blunt question: is there enough here to make coming back worthwhile?

What earns a high signal

New places to explore, better progression, a stronger endgame, easier onboarding, useful quality-of-life changes, meaningful balance work, and real performance improvements all count. The more an update improves your next session—not just its change log—the higher the signal climbs.

What the ranges mean

  • 0–19 — Stay Uninstalled: Maintenance or narrow fixes with little value for lapsed players.
  • 20–39 — Worth Noting: Useful movement, but probably not enough to clear drive space.
  • 40–59 — Check What Changed: Worth investigating if you already liked the game.
  • 60–79 — Worth Another Look: Enough has changed to make a return seriously tempting.
  • 80–100 — Strong Reason to Return: A major comeback opportunity, with the usual warning that your inventory may now qualify as archaeology.

Treat the number as a shortcut, not a promise. It tells you how strong the reason to return looks; the report explains the catch.
